Job Description
Under
the direction of the Human Resources Supervisor, the incumbent is
responsible for providing support to the Human Resource department in
the areas assigned within his/her scope of responsibility while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross’ values.
Education and Experience
- Strong knowledge of PC based systems is required, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- JDE experience desired.
- Post-Secondary education preferred.
- 2-3 years’ experience in the Human Resources field preferred.
- Previous office experience required.
- HR certification is desirable.
Skills
- Ability to establish priorities and maintain deadlines under multiple time pressures.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently with a minimum amount of direct supervision. The superintendent provides general directions for goal setting.
- Flexibility in work schedule. May be required to stop in the middle of one project to work on something else, or assist an employee.
- Possesses good communication and interpersonal skills.
- General understanding of mining operations, as well as limited understanding of milling and maintenance operations.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management.
- Ability to work independently and also as a member of the team.
- Demonstrates strong administrative, organizational and technical writing skills.
- Must be 18 years old and presently authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis.
- Requires valid driver’s license.
